Embark on an unforgettable 8 Days from Marrakech to the Sahara desert, featuring three magical nights in the desert. Explore Marrakech’s bustling medina on day one. Days two to five take you through the Atlas Mountains, Ait Ben Haddou, Tinghir, and Merzouga for a desert camp experience. On day six, visit Rissani and Erfoud, then journey through the Atlas Mountains on day seven. Your final day brings you back to Marrakech, completing a remarkable adventure through Morocco’s diverse landscapes and rich culture.

Pick up at Marrakech airport, arrival at your riad, free day to make contact with the place: one of the four imperial cities of Morocco. Famous for having numerous monuments recognized as a world heritage site, and its famous Jemaa El Fna square. You can visit its different and characteristic neighborhoods, the modern city: Gueliz Hivernage Palmeraie, Mellah or take you through the streets from the Medina, Jmaa el Fna, which was the scene of numerous outdoor activities: jugglers, musicians, fakirs, snake charmers, jugglers … to awaken all your senses with its multiple sounds, smells, flavors and colors that characterize it.

After breakfast, the trip begins eastbound to Ouarzazate through the Tizi n’Tichka pass through the High Atlas mountains stopping to take panoramic photos on the road (curvy road), we will visit the village of Ait Benhaddou to see An old Kasbah classified by the UNESCO organization, is one of the main tourist attractions in the world. Many famous films were filmed there like Gladiator, Obelix, Sahara with Penelope Cruz or Joya del Nile, etc. We headed to the Todra Gorges, where you can take a walk through its grand canyon walls of more than 200 meters high .
We will continue to Ouarzazate where the largest movie studios or the so-called Hollywood of Africa are located, where you can make a stop for lunch (optional).

After breakfast at Ourzazte hotel, we will head towards the Draa Valley with its millions of palm trees. Then we will drive further to the desert, on our Morocco Desert Tours 8-Day we will visit a Berber village before reaching the town of Tafrout.
Knowing the way of life and customs of the inhabitants of the town of Tafrout, sharing with them as a show of hospitality a “Berber whiskey,” as they usually call affectionate tea with mint tea. If you feel like it, you will have the opportunity to be able to tattoo with jenna different Berber motifs, always by a person specialized in such art.

After breakfast we will go in the direction of Merzouga, along the Paris-Dakar track, where we will stop at RUPESTRIAL CAVES, to continue again towards KHAMLIA, (black ethnic Berber population from Mali) where they will show us their culture through his dance and music GNAOUA. We will go around the dunes of ERG CHEBBI, passing through nomadic villages, until we reach the hotel, where we will leave the cars and get on the camels, to enter the dunes and spend the night in the desert under a camp.

Early morning rises greet us with a breathtaking show: the sunrise over the Moroccan Sahara. Riding camels, we return to camp for breakfast and a sand-removing shower. After, a 4×4 tour begins through Erg Chebbi Dunes, stopping at deserted mines, villages, and oases. Amongst various stops, we’ll meet nomadic families, learn about their lives, have tea, and maybe offer clothing. Dinner and lodging with a nomadic family under the star-filled sky make for an unforgettable experience of desert living.
Post a delightful breakfast with our host family, our journey leads to Rissani. A guided walk explores its famed traditional market, Souk, a bustling hub of crafts, foods, and animals. Heading to Erfoud, known for fossil works, we traverse the zigzag road, witnessing an incredible valley with over 18,000 palm trees. Passing through Dades Valley, we visit Berber villages and nomads in caves, discovering their way of life. The day ends at Hotel de Dades, where we dine and rest.
Reaching the endpoint of our journey, post-breakfast, we explore the Kasbah of Taourirt in Ouarzazate before our return to Marrakech. Our route traverses the High Atlas Mountains via Tizi N Tichka, as on the initial day. By 5:00 p.m., we arrive in Marrakech, aiming to witness the sunset from a bustling square terrace. Our stay will be at a Riad for accommodation.
