4 Days from Ouarzazate to the desert of Merzouga

Pick up in Riad or at the airport, we will start our adventurous journey. We will enjoy a visit to Ouarzazate in addition to visiting the Kasbah Taourirt and the Film Studios. We will go to the kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou where various famous films such as Gladiator, Aladdin have been recorded. There, we will see the impressive Kasbah Declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Breakfast at the hotel and we will continue our 4-day desert tours from Ouarzazate to Merzouga. We will go to the Dades Gorges and after Todra, where you can take a pleasant walk between its imposing walls of more than 200 meters high, the Draa valley, where we will see one of the longest rivers in Morocco. We will make stops to contemplate the lovely adobe Kasbahs, and the wonders of the Draa Valley.

We will arrive through the palm grove of Tafilalet, where we will finally reach the desert at our hotel at the foot of the dunes where we can relax, climb the dunes and enjoy a romantic sunset or take a dip in the hotel pool before taking Dinner and Moroccan tea.
You can see the immense sky of stars in the impressive dunes of Merzouga.

After breakfast we leave to surround the Erg Chebbi, a desert stretch of sand where the Great Dune of Morocco. Located, more than 250 meters high, connecting by track with part of the route followed by the old Paris-Dakar, with the mountains that border Algeria in the background. We will stop at the Tissardmin oasis and continue towards a nomadic settlement where we will learn some secrets of their lives and customs. Then we will stop at a panoramic point where we can contemplate the Erg Chebbi as a whole. Stop in Khamlia, a town originally from Mali, where we will relax with tea while enjoying a small concert of Gnawa music. Visits to nomadic Berber families, tea in the middle of nowhere and how to cook pizzas buried in the sand (lunch).

At dusk our camels will wait for us to leave on a route of an hour and a half, opening the way between dunes, until we reach the heart of the desert to contemplate the beautiful sunset, after dinner we will enjoy the music of the drums, and Moroccan tea You can contemplate the immense sky of stars and sleep in nomadic tents.

If there is something that nobody can miss is to enjoy a sunrise in the desert, so this day we will wake up early. After contemplating this moment we will take the camels to approach a hotel, where we can take a shower and have breakfast.

We will take the car again to return to Ouarzazate where we will appreciate a different route. Passing the Palm Grove of Tafilalet and the town of Rissani (capital of the Alawish Sultans). We will reach Tazarine (an important Berber town) and N’kob (a small town). Finally, we will reach the Draa Valley and its amazing palm grove. In the afternoon we will cross the Anti Atlas through the Tizi n Tnifift port (1660 meters) and arrive at Ouarzazate.
