Embark on an enriching 3-day tour from Marrakech to Merzouga, with a captivating stopover in Fez. Day one takes you through the Middle Atlas Mountains to Fez, where you’ll explore its historic medina. On day two, travel to Merzouga, experiencing the Ziz Valley and a camel trek into the Sahara Desert, where you’ll spend the night in a desert camp. Day three features a mesmerizing desert sunrise before your return to Marrakech, weaving together Morocco’s diverse landscapes and cultural treasures into an unforgettable adventure.

During the 3-day Marrakech to Merzouga tour, we’ll pick you up from your location in Marrakech, be it the airport, Riad, or your accommodation. Our journey begins with a scenic drive to Ouarzazate via the stunning Tizi-N-Tichka pass (2260m) over the High Atlas mountains, offering picturesque views of Berber villages. At the iconic Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, the largest in Morocco, a UNESCO heritage site, we’ll have lunch. We’ll pass through Dades Gorges, Ouarzazate – known as the ‘Hollywood of Africa,’ and the route of a thousand kasbahs, featuring sandcastles and the city of roses, Kalaat Mgouna. The day ends with accommodation at a hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, we leave the Dades Valley towards Tinghir and the Todra Gorges, enjoying the panoramic views of the ancient mud Berber villages overlooking the valley. Upon arrival at the Gorge we will pass below 300 meters high red cliff, where many climbers come to enjoy their favorite sport. We continue our trip to Erfoud and Rissani where we will have lunch.
In the afternoon we will arrive at the impressive dunes of Merzouga (Erg Chebbi), changing the car for the camels to admire the sunset, spend the night in the camp and enjoy the tranquility, the sunset and the wonderful and magical starry sky of the desert from Merzouga.

An early start today to witness the unforgettable desert sunrise Post-breakfast, our journey unfolds. We visit Rissani, exploring Záwiya Moulay Ali ash-Sharif, the local market, and fondouks. Passing through Errachidia, we stop at Aoufous Oasis for panoramic views, then move on to Hassan Adaklir Dam. Crossing the Ziz River offers picturesque landscapes with Ksours and Ziz gorges. Our route leads through the Tizi N’talghom pass, reaching Midelt for a meal with Jebel Aachi’s stunning mountain views.
Continuing to Azrou, witness the ancient Cedre Gouraud tree and cedar forest monkeys. Visit Ifrane, the ‘Switzerland of Morocco,’ known for its stone lion figure. On the way to Fez, pass through Imouzar Kander before arriving in the afternoon. Conclude your 3-day tour from Marrakech to Merzouga in Fez, where you’ll transfer to your Riad/Hotel.
