    Itinerary

    Day 1Tangier – Chefchaouen

    Arrangements can be made for a meet-up at the port, your hotel, or the airport, following which we’ll journey to the stunning blue fortress city, Chefchaouen. Renowned for its blue and white painted buildings, it’s among the most picturesque cities in the Rif mountains. Enjoy your free time exploring the city on your own before we spend the night at a local Riad in the Medina.

    Day 2Chefchouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fez:

    Following breakfast, our itinerary leads to the Volubilis archaeological site, where you can explore famous Roman ruins. Subsequently, we’ll visit Meknes to explore its imperial city and captivating monuments. Later in the day, we’ll arrive in Fez, our accommodation set in a local Riad.

    Day 3Full day explorative journey of Fez:

    This day is brimming with cultural exploration. An experienced local guide will lead your discovery of Fez, esteemed as one of Morocco’s oldest imperial cities. The tour begins at the Golden Gates of the Royal Palace before delving into the ancient and magnificent medina. Visit mosques, Medersas, and spiritual landmarks, continuing to the tanners’ quarter. After lunch, the artisans’ neighborhood awaits exploration before we retreat to our Riad for the night.

    Day 4Fez – Azrou – Midelt – Merzouga:

    Departing from Fez, our route leads to the Middle Atlas, exploring Ifrane, often referred to as the “Switzerland of Africa.” We’ll encounter the Berber people in Azrou, and onward to Midelt. Through the Tizi Talghemt, offering stunning landscapes at 1,907 meters altitude, our journey continues to Errachidia, crossing the Tafilalet massif towards the palm grove of Erfoud. Continuing our route, we reach the incredible sand dunes of Erg Chebbi near Merzouga, where tonight’s accommodation is arranged at a Riad or hotel.

    Day 5Visit Nomads in the Desert – Camel Trekking – Overnight in Desert camp

    Post-breakfast, we embark on an explorative 4×4 desert journey along the “Paris-Dakar Rally route.” Visiting nomads in the deep desert and experiencing the nomadic lifestyle, you’ll be introduced to Berber tea, also known as “Berber whisky.” Explore oases, known for being featured in films like “Sahara” and “Aladdin.” Discover the village of “the blacks,” named for the Sudanese brought in the slave trade, where you’ll enjoy Gnawa Music. In the afternoon, a camel ride across the desert toward the camp awaits, offering a breathtaking sunset. Spend the unique night in the camp, enjoying music under a starry sky, with dinner served in the desert camp.

    Day 6Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley – Ouarzazate:

    After breakfast, departure to Rissani, old Sijilmassa, supply center for the old caravans of the Sahara. We continue traveling through a semi-desert landscape, we reach the oasis of Tinghir- one of the most beautiful places in Morocco. Next we pass the Todra river, impressive gorges to reach more than 300 m. We visit the town, we take the road from a thousand Kasbahs to Ouarzazate, to reach one of the most important cities in southern Morocco, known for its intense activity and cinematography, having its films credit as Gladiator, Troy, the Mummy etc. Visit of the Kasbah of Taurirt.

    We will enjoy dinner and spend the night at the hotel.

    Day 7Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas – Marrakech:

    After breakfast, we will tour the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, where multiple films such as “Lawrence of Arabia” “Babel” and “Gladiator” have been recorded. Then, we will go to Marrakech over the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi N´Tichka Pass. Along the way we will observe Berber villages and farms. We will arrive in Marrakech at the end of the day, where we will spend the night.

    Day 8The Guided Tour of Marrakech:

    After breakfast we spend full day excursion to visit Marrakech. The stories tell that the city was inhabited by a tribe on the other side of the Atlas, with large amounts of dates, and bones, born from a palm. Called “the red city” due to the color of its walls and full of gardens, watered by underground wells (khettaras), which were built by the Almoravids and Saharan nomads in the 11th century. We will visit Menara, the Kasbah, the Saadi Tombs, the Bahia Palace, the Koutoubia, the Majorelle gardens and souks, are some of the unavoidable visits. A unique experience will be to discover the “Djemaa El Fna” square, where the life and activity of the city is concentrated: dancers, storytellers, jugglers, artisans, merchants and snake charmers.

    Day 9Essaouira excursion.

    We will start our trip from Marrakech at 8 a.m. We will go to Essaouira, the perfect city for adventurers. We will observe their factories where wood is worked, Argan oil cooperatives, and carpets. We will return a cooperative of women. There they will show us how they make Argan oil. Upon arriving in the city, we will visit the incredible Medina of Essaouira, where we will also pass through the port. Then we will enjoy a lunch of fresh grilled fish in the typical restaurants of the port. Later we returned to Marrakech, overnight in the Riad.

    Day 10Marrakech:

    We will have breakfast and then we will have the day off until the time of transfer to the airport. Your 10 Days from Tangier Chefchaouen  end in Marrakech.
