Excursions from Marrakech

– Excursion from Marrakech to Essaouira:

Departure around 8 am. heading to our destination, after approximately 3 hours, we arrive at the old port of Mogador, built by the Portuguese on a narrow peninsula with a huge half moon of sand. Perfectly protected by impressive 18th-century French-built walls, the city is largely pedestrian and is divided into several districts for grid-shaped design. From the top of Skala you can see the colorful fishing port and Spanish fortresses and guns.

Essaouira is also famous for its fine crafts, especially wooden objects (yours) perfectly interspersed with lemon, ebony wood, mother of pearl or copper or silver threads, we will visit some of the places where argan oil and carpets are made.

If you like fish, you can enjoy a meal at the port. At night I return to Marrakech.

If you wish, we can hire a local guide to thoroughly internalize that beautiful city.

– Excursion from Marrakech to Ouarzazate through the Atlas Mountains. (2,260 m.):

We will leave the hotel early, this long journey will take us through the High Atlas along an impressive mountain road that winds through the picturesque valleys and numerous Berber villages and precious stone vendors to Tizi N’Tichka, the largest mountain pass in the Atlas at 2,260 m. In the south, beyond these impressive snow-capped mountains from November to April, there is another semi-desert landscape emerges, spread along the river on the road to Ouarzazate with Kasbahs and small mud and straw houses that contrast with the Emerald green of the fields around him.

We will continue along dirt and stone paths to the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou (World Patromonius), where they have recorded several films such as “The Gladiator,” “Asterix and Obelix.”

Then we return to Marrakech, ending the tour.

Our day together includes a visit to these impressive waterfalls, which offer the traveler an almost permanent rainbow crowning their impressive heights. The falls descend almost 330 feet (110m), and will make a spectacular backdrop for your day trip from Marrakech. Before arriving at the falls, we will have the opportunity to drive through the spectacular mountains of the High Atlas, stopping on the way to visit a natural bridge carved into the mountain for nothing more than time!

We follow the route to the village Berber Ouzoud, where we will meet a local mountain guide, to start the visit to La Cascada and its surroundings.

Once we reach the falls, we will take a beautiful walk for approximately two hours until we reach the bottom of the falls.
